As an interior and fashion stylist who has worked regularily with The Conran shop, London, Alison has also established a garden design business since 2012. Trained at Capel Manor College, Regents Park, she designs gardens in the North London area, ranging from urban courtyards to cottage style retreats. With her background in art and sculpture, Alison brings to her work, twelve previous years of styling interiors, event set dressing and floristry. These varied elements influence her work, to create a unique sense of spatial awareness and a creative approach to interior design and planting style. It all started when…
My grandmother, a keen plants woman, with a garden full of scented Sweet Pea and coral pink Gladiolus, took me to the Botanical Gardens as a little girl. I wandered around inside the giant Victorian Glass Houses (pictured above) mesmerised by the sight, scent and feel of the many plants with their huge architectural leaves…….I was hooked!
